Polishing Cloth Simulator

You clean screens for people. Every job is an object sitting on a desk that you can turn around and zoom into, with real grime on the glass that comes off only where you wipe it. Your hand is greasy and it cramps, so the money goes on better cloths, and the best of them is a nineteen-dollar square of microfibre from a company that will not ship it for ten to twelve weeks. Seventeen things to clean, and some of them are not devices: there is a screen at the bottom of a toilet, one under a bowl of soup, and one in the seat of an office chair with somebody sitting on it.

How it plays

  1. Hold and drag across the glass to wipe. Drag the desk instead to turn the thing around, and scroll or pinch to get closer to whatever you missed.
  2. Mind what you are wiping with. A bare finger leaves fingerprints and cramps after a while, a sleeve leaves streaks, a paper towel sheds lint, and the cloth is the only thing that simply works.
  3. Some screens need dealing with before they can be cleaned: flush the toilet, tip out the soup, ask the person to get off the chair.
  4. At 95% you can hand it back and take the money, or keep going for spotless while the speed tip drains away in front of you.
